A big decision about the future of policing in South Huron could be coming up.
During Monday nights council meeting, councilor Aaron Neeb brought forward a Notice of Motion.
Neeb’s motion is he would like council to give the OPP 12 months notice effective December 1st 2021 that the Municipality will end the current agreement due to service concerns.
A Notice of Motion is a personal opinion that is brought back to council at a later date for discussion and ultimately a decision.
Locally Stratford Police handles service in the City of Stratford along with the communities of St. Marys and Perth South.
