The provincial government says it will introduce legislation that would guarantee delivery workers can access washrooms in businesses.
The legislation would apply to businesses where truck drivers, couriers and food delivery workers are picking up or delivering items.
Labour Minister Monte McNaughton says the proposed law would apply to more than 200-thousand workers.
In the early days of the pandemic, the province ensured rest stops were open to truck drivers for washroom use when they were closed to the general public.
