MADD Canada has kicked off Project Red Ribbon, which runs from November 1st to the first Monday of 2022. The ribbon represents the wearers’ commitment to sober driving, and acts as a reminder of the deaths and injuries from impairment-related crashes.
The reason Project Red Ribbon happens over the early winter months is to remind people during what is usually the busiest time of the year, with Christmas and New Years, the risk of impaired driving, when social calendars are filled with events and parties.
MADD Canada encourages people to tie a red ribbon on their car, key chain, purse, briefcase or backpack.
