The federal government has announced that as of November 30th, fully vaccinated Canadians and permanent residents that cross the border to the United States for less than 72 hours will not need to present the pricy PCR test to re-entre Canada. Those who re-entre Canada by land or air who can show proof that they have been away for less than 72 hours do not need to present the molecular test if they are fully vaccinated.
But travellers who are out of the country for more than 72 hours will still have to present a negative molecular test result at the border on their way home.
