It was a golden weekend for area minor hockey teams.
The South Huron Sabres U13 A captured gold in a thrilling 1-0 win.
The Lucan Irish u11 Tier 1 girls, U15 Rep Boys, U 15 LL Boys, U 25 Tier 1 Girls, and U18 Tier 1 Girls all captured gold!
And the U13 LL North Middlesex 1 team, and the U11 LL team won gold as well.

IN THE PJHL
On Friday night: Your Exeter Hawks beat Thamesford 5-2. and Goderich would lose 3-2,
On Saturday: Mitchell beat Walkerton 6-2, Exeter fell to Port Stanley 4-1, Kincardine doubled up Goderich 2-1, and North Middlesex would lose 6-5 in overtime.
And on Sunday: North Middlesex beat Lucan 4-2,
IN THE GOJHL
On Friday night: Listowel beat Ayr 5-1, St. Marys would lose 5-1, and Stratford lost a close on 4-3.
On Saturday: Listowel lost 4-3 in a shootout.
And on Sunday: St. MArys beat St. Thomas 5-2.
ELSEWHERE IN HOCKEY ACTION
In the OHL: Sarnia beat London 4-2 on Friday night. The Sting would then lose 4-3 in overtime on Saturday against Guelph. The Sting closed out the weekend with a 4-0 shutout over Owen Sound.
In the WOAA: On Friday: Seaforth beat Petrolia 3-2, before beating them again on Saturday 6-1. And on Sunday, Clinton beat Milverton 5-2.
