Pink on the Rink was held in South Huron and area over the weekend. The minor hockey tournament brought in teams from all over the area.
The South Huron U15 BB team won gold!
The Lucan U18 Tier 1 beat South Huron 2-1 in overtime to capture gold in the battle of Highway 4 rivals.
The Lucan U11 Tier 2 team also won gold.
And the Mitchell U11 Girls captured gold.
A busy weekend in the PJHL.
On Friday night: Exeter held on to beat North Middlesex despite allowing three 3rd period goals, with a 4-3 win.
Elsewhere: Lucan and Dorchester tied 2-2, Mitchell shoutout Wingham 1-0 and Goderich was blown out 9-0.
On Saturday: Mitchell beat Goderich 4-1 which now bring Goderich’s record to 0-20 on the season.
Elsewhere: Lucan beat Port Stanley 5-3, and North Middlesex lost 5-1 against Thamesford.
And yesterday: Your Exeter Hawks beat Dorchester 4-2.
Elsewhere: Lucan lost 5-2 against Mt. Brydges, and Mitchell beat Mount Forest 3-2 in overtime.
In the OHL on Friday: Sarnia lost 7-5 against Windsor.
The Sting bounced back on Saturday with a 3-2 win over rivals London.
And then on Sunday the Sting lost a tough one 5-3 against Kitchener.
In the GOJHL:
On Friday: Stratford beat Ayr 4-3, and St. Marys beat St. Thomas 5-2.
On Saturday: St. Marys beat Strathroy 6-3.
And on Sunday: Stratford lost 4-3 against Elmira.
The Listowel Cyclones had both of their games this weekend postponed due to possible COVID-19 exposure.
In the WOAA on Saturday: Seaforth rocked Lucknow 8-1.
And in the WOSHL on Friday: Stratford lost 6-4 against the Jets.
The Fighting Irish rebounded on Saturday with a 6-4 win over the Thunder.
