Huron Perth Public Health has added over 150 COVID-19 over the past 2 weeks and the numbers are expected to keep rising.
Because of this HPPH is implementing new case contact procedures.
Effective now confirmed cases and close contacts will be required to:
Self-isolated for 10 days if you test positive, the isolation will be from when symptoms started and is in place for everyone regardless of vaccination status.
What this means is you must stay on your property and not interact with anyone within your household unless you are a primary caregiver, and not leave unless you need medical attention.
You also need to tell close contacts so they can self-isolate, and a close contact is someone you have been within 2 metres of for 15 minutes or more within 2 days of when your symptoms started.
If you are a close contact, book a test right away and another for after day 7, and self-isolated for 10 days regardless of vaccination status.
