A permanent roadside memorial to honour a Muslim family that police allege was deliberately run down while out for a walk in London, Ontario last June has been proposed for the city.
It’s among several recommendations in a proposed action plan from the City of London to tackle Islamophobia.
A memorial plaza would be built at the roadside where five members of the Afzaal family were killed by a hit-and-run driver in an alleged hate-motivated attack.
Only their nine-year-old son survived.
