Wild animals are a common concern for residents in the area, especially this time of year.
The Ontario Provincial Police have given some tips on how to deal with those creatures.
Some of those tips include keeping your distance, not removing an animal from its natural habitat, and contacting a Wildlife Rehabilitator or the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry if you want to arrange some help for a wild animal.

– If you find a young animal that seems abandoned – keep dogs and/or cats away and keep quiet. An adult won’t return if other animals are present, or its too noisy
– If you find a sick animal and feel there is a health risk, contact your local Public Health Unit
– If you have concerns about abuse, you can contact the Ontario Animal Protection Call Centre at 1-833-9-ANIMAL
– If the animal is a public safety issue, contact your local police department
