The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority has invited local schools to become Watershed Champions, and are offering grants of up to $1,000 per project.
The grants are for local schools to complete project that will improve surface and ground water quality, forest cover, and overall watershed health, and they could also include a public event or activity for educational purposes.
Denise Iszczuk, Conservation Educator with the ABCA said, “Schools want to improve outdoor learning spaces and we want to make it easy as possible for teachers and school administration to apply, we are able to offer this grant again thanks to our partnership with Next Era Energy and Cordelio Power.”
If the project will be happening in the Fall of 2022, the deadline for the application is April 8th 2022.
