Residents who are eligible can receive a fourth dose of COVID-19 vaccine in order to boost their immunity and provide enhanced protection against the virus as it continues to circulate.
The Ontario government announced expanded eligibility for the vaccine, making a fourth dose available to people over the age of 60, as well as First Nation, Inuit and Métis individuals and their non-Indigenous household members over the age of 18.
It is recommended that fourth doses be administered five months after an individual received their third dose of vaccine, however the
additional dose may be administered at a minimum interval of three months after the third dose was given.
