A warning for this next story as some information may be disturbing.
16 years….that’s how long Derek Boyd was sentenced to spend in prison for an attempted murder in St. Marys.
As myFM previously reported, Boyd pled guilty to attacking an ex-girlfriend after she dropped her son off at Little Falls elementary school.
The attack saw Boyd stab the woman twice, once in the right shoulder, and once in the abdomen.
Minus time served and delays due to the pandemic, Boyd will spend 14.5 years in prison, have a lifetime weapons ban, be forced to submit a DNA order, and is prohibited from contacting the victim.
