Some sad news, as a former judge and former Goderich councilor Jim Donnelly, has passed away at the age of 92.
Jim served 4 years on council in the 1950s before taking over the family law practice.
In 1985 Donnelly was appointed to what is now known as the Superior Court of Justice, a position he held for 20 years.
After 50 years Jim returned to Goderich politics in 2010, before being re-elected in 2014 and 2018.
Donnelly retired in April of this year.
Jim was known in the community for playing and coaching fastball and being a horse racing enthusiast.
myFM spoke with someone who got a chance to know Jim pretty well, Goderich Mayor John Grace who tells us Jim was a pillar in the community.
Details about the visitation and funeral can be found here.
