The County of Huron has handed out lots of money for local projects.
The money is thanks to the Supporting Local Economic Development Program.
Numerous applications were received and eight winners were chosen, and $70,750 dollars was given out for various projects.
Winners include:
-The Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh’s application for the Dungannon Farmers’ Market – $10,000.
-The Municipality of Central Huron’s application for the Sculpture Garden Installation project – $10,000.
-Eat Local Huron’s application for the Agro-tourism: Farm Crawls – $10,000.
-Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health’s application for the SHARP (Skills for Healthcare, Attraction and Retention) Program – $10,000.
-The Huron County Farmers’ Market Association’s application for the Farmer’s Market Enhancement Project – $10,000.
-The Township of North Huron’s application for the Cruickshank Park Enhancement Project – $10,000.
-Seaforth BIA’s application for the Reuse, Recycle and Refurbish Project – $7,500.
-The Town of Goderich’s application for the Wayfinding Signage Project – $10,000.
