Staffing shortages at area hospitals are leading to the reduction of hours at local emergency departments.
The St. Marys Memorial Hospital will see the Emergency Department close at 5 PM on Friday, before opening on Saturday from 7 AM until 5 PM.
Regular hours of operation (24/7) will continue on Sunday.
The Seaforth Community Hospital will be closing its Emergency Department on Friday at 5 PM, before resuming regular hours on Saturday at 7 AM.
Anyone facing an emergency is asked to call 9-1-1 and they will be taken to the closest local Emergency Department.
All non-urgent calls can be directed to Health Connect Ontario at 811 which offers 24/7 non-emergency support.
