For those unaware, the Municipal Council and School Board elections will be taking place on October 24th.
While myFM has been sharing some stories about local candidates, it’s important to make sure you are registered to cast your vote.
If you are a resident, owner or tenant of property in Ontario, a Canadian citizen and 18 years of age or older election day, you can vote.
To make sure you’re on the list of registered voters, visit voterlookup.ca, where you’ll be asked to submit basic information such as name and address.
If you are not registered, the same site will help you do so.
The voters’ list will be prepared on September 1st, 2022. If you want to add, remove, or change your listed information on or after September 1st, you’ll need to contact your municipal clerk.
A reminder for those interested that the deadline to file nominations to be a council or school trustee candidate is Friday, August 19th at 2 p.m.
