More High-Speed Internet is coming to us.
The Ontario Government is bringing more high-speed internet access to for up to 266,000 unserved and underserved homes and businesses.
This is another milestone to help connect the province by 2025.
Eight agreements have been signed with eight internet providers to bring access to 339 municipalities, including South Huron and the surrounding communities.
Ontario’s high-speed internet initiatives will help ensure that every home and business, in every community, can participate in today’s economy.
Bragg Communications will serve ACW, Bluewater, Goderich, Central Huron, Lambton Shores, North Huron, Morris-Turnberry, and South Huron. They have been granted $69 Million and will serve up to 9507 unserved houses.
North Frontenac Telephone Company will serve North Middlesex, and Lucan Biddulph. They have granted $39.5 Million and will serve up to 3682 unserved houses.
Rogers Communications Canada Inc. will serve North Middlesex, Lucan Biddulph, . They have been granted $171 Million and will serve up to 89,295 unserved houses.
Xplornet Communications Inc. will serve Central Huron, Huron East, Morris-Turnberry, North Perth, Perth East, Perth South, St. Marys, West Perth. They have been granted $240 Million and will serve up to 54,679 unserved houses.
