Hensall Co-op has announced its winners of the Strong Communities Initiative.
The program launched in 2021 to help protect and build the strength of rural communities.
Two winners will receive a grant of $10 thousand while five runner-ups will get $1000.
Grand prize winners this year are the Stratford General Hospital Foundation for their hospital Beds for Surgery Unit program, and Tiger Mountain Pool Inc to help add to their pool site.
Runners ups include the South Huron Hospital Foundation, Huron Hospice, YMCA Southwestern Ontario, the North Huron Community Food Share, and the Community Centre in Reinland Manitoba.
