The sale of homes sharply declined last month.
The Huron Perth Association of Realtors reports that 170 units were sold in August which is down 31.5 % from 2021.
So far 1397 units have been sold over the past eight months which is down over 16 percent from last year.
Local realtors saw the number of listings rise by nearly 9 percent, the highest jump in August in over five years.
The price of homes continues to be high with the benchmark price for a single family home rising to $572,700, while the benchmark apartment price rose by over 28% to $534,900.
