Main Street Bayfield has been getting quite the facelift this year.
Micheline Notte President of the Bayfield Chamber of Commerce says the project is in collaboration with residents and has been for quite a few years.
The beautification and revitalization project has seen hydro lines go under ground, updated street parking, new street lamps coming soon, new sidewalks and water gardens soon as well.
New sidewalks will be installed from the North end to the South end on both sides by the end of September.
Water Gardens are also going to be installed. They will collect rain water and collect in a ‘slow drip’ to help raise the water bed, as well as water plants downtown.
Phase 2 of the Beautification should be finished by mid November, with Phase 3 being carried out in May of the new year. Phase 3 is just another coat to the new Main Street Road.
