Child Care Centres in Huron County are feeling the backlash of inflation.
Cheryl Patience, Manager of Ontario Works and Children Services with Huron County says they shared with council how they’re going to use provincial dollars they’ve been granted.
Patience shared that they are granted funds every year from the provincial government to help make child care more affordable and accessible.
Those funds will also help cover the cost of child care for the month of October.
There is a shortage of Early Childhood Educators in Huron County.
Patience adds that October 18th is ECE Appreciation Day! Be sure to thank any and all ECE’s you know.
