After more than 30 years of service with the county of Lambton Chief Administrative Officer Ron Van Horne is retiring.
Van Horne was first hired as an Assistant Solicitor for the City of Sarnia’s Legal Department in 1990, and then transferred to the County of Lambton in 1991 becoming the County Solicitor as part of the local restructuring under the Sarnia-Lambton Act.
In the following years Mr. Van Horne held several positions before assuming the role of CAO.
Van Hornes last day will be in February of 2023.
Van Horne has no big plans for the future, just to enjoy time with his family. Stéphane Thiffeault will begin the transition into the CAO role over the coming months.
