myFM has learned that due to ongoing Human Resource challenges the South Huron walk-in clinic will now only be open on weekends and statutory holidays from 11 AM until 2 PM starting January 3rd.
During these hours the walk-in clinic will be first come first serve, and patients are encouraged to book appointments with primary care providers.
A statement on behalf of Jimmy Trieu, President & CEO, at AMGH & SHHA says “with regional Emergency Department closures walk-in clinics have seen an increase in unattached patients which has put tremendous pressure on current staffing levels.”
The reduction in hours will allow the clinic to better use its resources and provide safer care.
