Last week a call to action was put out by the local Angel Project.
Due to the rising cost of food, $4000 was needed to ensure all the Christmas hampers that would be given out would have enough food.
The local Legion stepped up with a $4000 cheque, and the rest of the community also stepped up with donations.
Volunteer Coordinator at Noah’s Ark and The Community Table, Andrea Loohuizen in charge of the South Huron Community Angel Project says it was unbelievable.
This year the Angel Project is supporting between 250 to 300 people and families in need in our local community.
Anyone looking to still donate can do so until December 16th as the Angel Project hampers will be given out next week.
