There’s a lot to keep in mind as a storm approaches, and that includes how to keep warm if the power goes out.
Dr. Linna Li, an Ontario Medical Officer of Health says make sure you’re using heaters properly, and where they’re meant to be used.
That also goes for all other gas appliances like barbecues. Make sure they’re outside the garage before lighting them up.
You can always keep warm up in your car, or a local retailer running off a generator if need be. Many communities will open warming centres during winter power outages too.
