As of Sunday, Ontario pharmacists will be able to prescribe treatments for 13 common ailments.
That includes pink eye, acid reflux and cold sores as well as antibiotics after tick bites to prevent Lyme disease.
The service will be free with a health card, unlike some other provinces, where residents pay out of pocket when they’re assessed by a pharmacist for a prescription.
