An OPP cruiser at the London detachment off Exeter Road.
A London man is facing multiple charges following an incident on Thursday morning.
Just after midnight police were conducting a RIDE program near Walton, when a SUV entered the check.
Upon speaking with the driver, officers found evidence of alcohol consumption in the vehicle and asked for a breath sample, which resulted in a fail.
The driver was handcuffed but became verbally abusive towards officers, and resisted arrest by kicking two officers and a police cruiser with steel toed boots.
Officers suffered minor injuries but were able to get the man into the cruiser and took him for further testing.
A 34 year old is facing charges for impaired driving, two counts of assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest, and uttering threats.
