After 2 years away, WinterFest is back in Exeter this Family Day!
Community partners will be hosting events all throughout the day like a breakfast happening at the Exeter Legion, snowshoeing and even a movie screening.
Co-Chair, Dave Frayne tells myFM it feels good to be back.
Frayne says to kick off the Family Day Holiday, there will be a breakfast.
The breakfast will include scrambled eggs, pancakes, peameal bacon, sausage and toast. The Legion will have coffee, tea and juice boxes available at the breakfast. It will cost $15 per person, kids 5 and under eat free.
The snowshoeing event hosted by Friends of the South Huron Trail is free.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Huron and the South Huron Optimist Club will be screening Minions: The Rise of Gru at Exeter Elementary (93 Victoria Street East) at 1pm.
The Cadet Support Committee will be having a Soup and Bun lunch at the Exeter Legion between 1pm and 3pm. You can also play Pool and Darts.
There will also be public skating at the South Huron recreation Centre and the Stephen Township Arena, the times are still to be determined.
To finish off Family Day WinterFest, there will be a grand Fireworks display happening at MacNaughton Park at 7pm, put on by the Exeter Firefighters Association and Exeter Lions.
