“Vaccinating pets not only helps protect them from the rabies virus, but it also helps keep human populations safe,” said Lori Lucas, Supervisor of Health Protection at Lambton Public Health. “These low-cost clinics offer an affordable way to add an extra buffer between humans and animals.”
Rabies is fatal if not treated fast enough. It is a viral infection spread through the saliva of an infected animal. Owners of dogs and cats are required by law to vaccinate their pets against rabies. For more information, visit LambtonPublicHealth.ca or call 519-383-8331
