This past weekend, the Exeter Community Food Bank teamed up with the South Huron Firefighters and First Exeter Scouts for a food drive.
Laurie Clapp, Manager of the Food Bank tells myFM it was very successful.
She says they are still receiving e-transfer donations.
Clapp would like to thank the community for stepping up and making a difference.
Clapp says that they give clients anywhere between 5 to 7 days’ worth of food.
The Exeter Community Food Bank is located at 249 Andrew Street. They can be reached at 519-860-4104. Clapp says that volunteers help run the phone, so sometimes an answer won’t be immediate.
The Foodbank is open Wednesdays from 9 am to 11 am and Thursdays from 6 pm to 8 pm. They are currently looking for volunteers for both days to help sort food.
If you are interested in sending a monetary donation, e-transfers are excepted at exeterfoodbank1@gmail.com.
