The Seaforth and District Food Bank is returning after a pandemic hiatus with it’s Souper Saturday event – coming up on Saturday, April 22nd.
Chair of the Food Bank Bill Wallace says that they’re keen to be back.
The annual event is a soup competition and dessert auction where locals can purchase ballots to vote for their soup of choice, as well as bid on desserts. The winner is determined by a panel of judges, alongside a popular vote.
According to Wallace, the event was sorely missed as a source of fundraising.
To support the event, all you have to do is show up on Saturday, April 22 from 11:00am – 1:30pm at the Seaforth and District Community Centre – admission is free, but canned food donations are appreciated. To participate in the soup vote, 7 ballots can be purchased for $10.
