In their new office in Northville, the Municipality will have a permanent council chamber for the first time. Existing staff will be retained and relocated to the new building.
Doug Cook – Mayor of the Municipality of Lambton Shores says that the benefit to the public is obvious,
The new office is located in Northville, near the current works offices – right off of Northville road. The Grand Bend office, primarily used for taxes and water, will be closed as of May 4th. What will happen with the Grand Bend office in the long term is undetermined at this time.
Through several grants, the new building is also a green energy building, and Cook hopes that the investment will pay for itself.
