The federal government has brought an offer to the table following a weekend of bargaining with the Public Service Alliance of Canada. The offer resulted in a tentative contract agreement overnight.
P-SAC issued a release at 1:30 a-m Eastern Time that it had reached a four-year agreement covering four of its bargaining units for 120-thousand public servants at Treasury Board.
It says the pact includes wage increases totalling 12.6 per cent when compounded over the life of the deal, as well as significant new protections around remote work.
But a deal has not been reached yet for 35-thousand workers with the Canada Revenue Agency and a 13th day of strike action continues
