Yesterday, at approximately 3:00 p.m. Huron OPP officers received a call regarding a break and enter, and assault on Dinsley Terrace in Clinton.
The victim told police that an unknown male had entered their home and demanded the keys to their vehicle, and that they were assaulted by the man when they refused.
The suspect then fled the scene with an axe and handheld torch, and was last seen on foot Southbound towards a wooded area.
Officers set up a perimeter, and K-9 and Emergency Response Team members attempted to track the suspect, but were unsuccessful.
The suspect is described as: white male, approximately 5’9″, dark hair, slim build, wearing blue jeans, a black jacket with a “John Deere” logo, and a red baseball cap.
