A similar installment in Bayfield - From Huron County Website
If you’ve been looking for a splash of colour in town, you’re not alone. The town of Exeter is in the process of installing a new mural.
Initially slated for the library, public consultation yielded concerns about the heritage qualities of the building, and now the local selection committee is in the process of finding a new home for it.
Rick Sickinger, Economic Development Officer with the County of Huron says that the mural was brought to the table by popular demand.
Huron County Economic Development applied for a federal grant, and received funding for five murals in the towns of Exeter, Clinton, Wingham, Bayfield, and Seaforth.
Sickinger says that the mural is one of several in the works at the moment,
According to Sickinger, public feedback on the project is absolutely vital,
The mural’s artist Tova Hasiwar, who has also painted murals in Goderich, Seaforth, and on the London Convention Centre, will likely be on the job at the end of May or beginning of June, as soon as there’s a good stretch of warmer weather.
