In a tech centered world, where everyone is constantly connecting through digital means, we can feel at bit disconnected.
Corners of Clinton Founder Stacey Petteplace thinks she might have the solution,
Enter the Clinton Community Cookbook – a project that Petteplace hopes will capture the rich stories attached to different food, passed down.
She says that submissions will contain a photograph, and short story about the personal meaning of the recipes, to accompany various eats and treats.
Proceeds from the completed cookbook will start a fund to support families that need a bit of extra help, says Petteplace.
Tentative categories include family traditions & holiday celebrations, weekday meals desserts, and kid favourites.
To submit a recipe to the Clinton Community Cookbook, email cornersofclinton@icloud.com. Include a short story about the history or personal significance of the recipe (1-4 sentences), along with a picture, title, and the name of the person submitting the recipe.
