As we approach the first long weekend of the summer, Middlesex OPP have some reminders for drivers, to help keep everyone in the community safe.
Middlesex County OPP Media Relations Officer Jeff Hare says that they will be out in full force this long weekend, monitoring a variety of infractions,
Although infractions are not exclusive to long weekends, Hare says that there is definitely a notable uptick,
If a member of the public spots someone they suspect is impaired, they should call 911 if it is safe to do so – it does constitute an emergency, and immediate threat to public safety.
Hare says that the biggest thing is that everyone needs to slow down, and that at the end of the day it’s all about keeping everyone in the community safe.
