Plans for a long term care facility in Exeter are gaining ground, the County of Huron presented a consent application to Municipality of South Huron council on Monday (May 15), earmarking 4 acres of severed land on the edge of town for development.
The proposal included a road allowance, as well as future plans for additional lot grading and storm water management.
Some members of the public submitted concerns regarding the application, related to traffic, privacy, and noise, however, the County of Huron recommended that council proceed with severing the land. Public consultation regarding the use of the lot will take place at a public meeting in early June.
The severed parcel is presently designated residential and was earmarked for development at some future point. A rezoning of the severed parcel is required before any development can occur.
