After several years of reduced offerings, The Stratford Festival is looking forward to a busy season with a full roster of shows this summer.
Throughout the tourism sector in Stratford, as they gear up for a busy season, additions include new winterized permanent public washrooms, and a variety of new businesses in the downtown core.
A notable addition, the city of Stratford has also amended a by-law, allowing the consumption of food and alcohol purchased at local restaurants on park lands.
While traditionally 1/3 of the tourists visiting Stratford are coming from the U.S., for the past several years that demographic has been absent. However, to make up that loss, they have seen a bump in local tourism, and a notable migration of people from larger metropolitan centers to smaller towns like Stratford.
