Masking will now be optional in many clinical areas of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance’s sites throughout the county.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, HPHA has required masking in all departments, however, as of today (Monday, June 5) the requirement is now restricted to Emergency Departments only. The public is welcome to continue to mask if they choose to do so, and masks will still be provided to members of the public.
If you have a cough, fever, sore throat, or are with someone that does, you will still be required to mask to protect others.
“Masks continue to be a key tool for infection prevention and control,” says Erica Jensen, Manager Quality, Patient Safety and Infection Control. “We encourage anyone who wishes to wear a mask to do so to help protect themselves and their loved ones.”
