The First Blue Water Bridge in Sarnia will be closed to traffic beginning next month.
The U.S.-bound span of the bridge requires rehabilitation work, which is expected to be completed in October.
To help minimize disruption, the Canada-bound span- Second Blue Water Bridge, will accommodate traffic in both directions during the project.
The Federal Bridge Corporation explains the north lane will be open to traffic from Canada to the U.S.
The south and middle lanes will be open to traffic from the U.S. to Canada.
Disruption to travellers or the local community is expected to be kept to a minimum with steps being taken to reduce delays.
Travellers can check real-time border wait times through the Blue Water Bridge website.
