Those hoping to do something fun with the family for Father’s Day this weekend, can take advantage of free fishing across the province.
On June 17th and 18th, Ontarians can enjoy fishing province-wide, without having to purchase a licence or carry an Outdoors Card.
Those taking part will still have to follow a number of fishing regulations, including catch and size limits. More on that can be found on our website.
If you and your family are fishing during licence-free fishing periods or at other times, it’s important to help keep recreational fisheries healthy for future generations by:
- following conservation licence catch limits
- obeying size limits and sanctuaries
- following all other fishing regulations
Family Fishing Week is also coming up next month, running July 1st to 9th.
