There are a lot of amazing foundations in our community that help make it a better place, and one of those is the Sunset Community Foundation – they’re the myFM community partner for the month of June.
Originally founded as the “Grand Bend Community Foundation”, Charlene Masschelein, Board Chair of the Sunset Community Foundation says that the endowment fund managed by the foundation is valued at over $3 million.
Interest collected on those investments is given back to various non-profits in the community.
Masschelein says that investing in community foundations is a way that everyone can support non-profits in their community for generations to come,
Her involvement in the foundation is borne out of several things that she’s passionate about, says Masschelein,
