The Ontario government is launching a new mobile mental health and addictions clinic in the Huron-Bruce and Perth-Wellington regions.
The new mobile clinic will feature a clinical team that travels between communities, reducing the distance that people in rural communities need to travel to find care.
MPP of Huron Bruce, Lisa Thompson says that removing barriers to care for mental health services is paramount.
The clinic will offer clients support to high-quality mental health services in a discrete and fully supported setting.
The team will include a trained social worker and registered nurse or nurse practitioner who can deliver a wide range of services.
It will operate 8-10 hours per day, five days a week, in various locations around the community.
