With the prediction of hot and humid weather expected for today, Environment and Climate Change Canada have issued a Heat Warning for Lambton, Huron and Perth Counties
Heat warnings are issued when two or more consecutive days of humidex values are expected to reach 40°C or higher, or when two or more consecutive days of daytime maximum temperatures are expected to reach 31°C or warmer and nighttime minimum temperatures are expected to sit at 20°C or warmer.
In high temperatures and humidity, your body may not be able to cool properly which can lead to heat exhaustion or even heat stroke
The warning will remain in effect until Thursday, when conditions are expected to ease.
