Despite a shocking incident that occurred earlier this week when a vehicle collided into the Goderich Public School, Avon-Maitland District School board remains positive and assures parents and students that classes will resume on schedule in September.
The incident took place on Monday morning, when an unidentified vehicle crashed through an exterior wall of the school, resulting in significant damage to one of the classrooms and the school’s library.
In response to the incident, the affected section of the school has been cordoned off to facilitate repairs and ensure the safety of students and staff during the ongoing summer programming. The school board is working diligently to assess the extent of the damage and initiate necessary repairs.
