Reducing plastic waste is universally agreed to be a good thing, and the LCBO is taking it a step further – they’re going to be phasing out their paper bags, as of September 5th.
The company has urged its customers to adopt greener shopping habits by bringing their reusable bags when visiting their stores. Alternatively, gift bags will still be available for purchase, as will free cardboard 8 packs and boxes.
By phasing out single-use paper bags, LCBO aims to make a positive impact on the environment and contribute to a more sustainable Ontario.
