Myles Murdock’s tenure as a public servant began as a Councillor in 2006, a role he embraced with passion and purpose.
Elected as Mayor in October 2022, Myles continued to lead with integrity and foresight. His legacy will forever inspire others to work towards creating a more vibrant and inclusive community.
His dedication to various causes, ranging from environmental stewardship to healthcare and housing, showcased his multifaceted commitment to the well-being of Goderich’s citizens.
Serving two terms as Councillor and one as Deputy Mayor, Myles Murdock’s impact on local governance was substantial, reflecting his tireless efforts to elevate the town’s economic development and quality of life.
The Town of Goderich has honored Mayor Murdock by lowering flags at its facilities—a symbol of respect and gratitude for his service.
Deputy Mayor Trevor Bazinet has assumed the role of Acting Mayor, and will lead the community for the time being.
