The South Huron Hospital Foundation (SHHF), has recently entered into the world of TikTok – a venture into new territory.
Krista McCann, Executive Director says that they use TikTok and other social media in a different way than they had in the past, which had largely been grounded in an informational approach,

McCann shows donations at work in this TikTok, where she gestures to various equipment paid for by donations.
McCann points out that TikTok offers a unique opportunity to engage with a different demographic than they get on Facebook or Twitter.
It’s a challenge for many organizations to adapt to this new medium, but the potential is undeniable. TikTok’s short, attention-grabbing format is a powerful tool for storytelling.
She says that the staff at the hospital enjoy participating in creating content for social media, to connect with the community in a fun way,
She encourages organizations to get creative, have fun, and test the waters on TikTok.
McCann says that TikTok is not difficult to use,
So, if you’re not on TikTok yet, take Krista McCann’s advice: don’t be afraid to get creative, have fun, and test the waters—you might just discover a new way to connect and make a difference.
