The second ever Clinton Children’s Business Market is coming up – and young entrepreneurs are already prepping their wares for the big day.
Coming up on November 4th at Libro Community Hall, this one day, two hour special event allows children from throughout the community to work on their own small business, sell their wares, and work on their sales skills.
Founder Stacey Petteplace says that they weren’t sure how successful the idea would be initially,

Sully with some of his famous pies!
Not only did they fill every vendor booth available, but hundreds of people walked through the doors to show their support, with many of the entrepreneurs being completely out of stock by the end of the event.
19 businesses helmed by 27 children from 11 different school in the area showed up to peddle their wares.
One such entrepreneur was a 9 year old from Brucefield,
He will be returning to this years market alongside several others like Charlotte, aged 11, from Goderich who will be selling dried and pressed flowers and leaves, homemade earrings by Bria, aged 10, from Seaforth and Exeter’s own Kernel Bros.
Petteplace says that encouraging entrepreneurial spirit and skills is important not only to encourage creative young minds, but she also hopes that it might empower them to return to the community in the future,

6 year old Aubrey was one of the first to sign up last year!
There’s a couple more spots available, and kids can apply to participate in the market now, head to www.teampetteplace.com to register.
